My Story

Both myself and Vicki Rogers are delighted to announce that we will commence tenure as Golf Captains at the Exeter Golf and Country Club as from the 23rd February 2023.

Traditionally, captains select a charity for their fundraising activities and this year Vicki and I have chosen the RD&E Charity.

Some 12 years ago, I had a radical prostatectomy and since then have been closely monitored by the Oncology Team at the Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital.

In July 2022, my cancer reoccurred and as a result, I have required further treatment. Throughout my time in radiotherapy I met many other cancer patients who were also being treated by the marvellous team of radiologists and like myself, had nothing but praise and admiration for the staff who cared for us.

I really wanted to give something back by raising funds to help further improve the facilities within the Oncology Department and together with the help of Vicki, we have set a target of £20,000.
